a bulletin board site, and has since then established itself as a leader
in helping companies optimize their purchasing and sales processes for
chemical feedstocks, chemicals, plastics, and related products through
the use of e-commerce. The company is committed to innovating and
improving transaction processes for buyers and sellers in multiple
industries around the world.
In 1999 ChemConnect launched its
first negotiations platform and next year the company launched online
auction capability and its commodities exchange. In 2001 ChemConnect
merged with Envera and in 2002 the company acquired CheMatch and Altra
Energy's Chalkboard platform. During the same year ChemConnect launched
the single Commodity Markets trading platform.
